Established 1-2-1 Marketing in 1988 – primarily as a direct marketing agency. Subsequently rebranded as Illuminus to offer broader, integrated marketing communication campaigns and to be involved with the internet as it developed for marketing – especially though the application of direct marketing techniques.

Creative Director and copywriter across a range of accounts and projects in a variety of industry sectors – including Thorn and Granada TV Rental, RAF Benevolent Fund Enterprises, Experian, Tipperary Crystal, Consumers’ Association.

More recently focused on providing creative development and copywriting across the range of media, and regular copy-editing for a London-based book publisher.

  • Associate copy-editor for Unbound – a ‘crowdfunding’ publisher of a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction titles
  • Created a unique role as creative director within a corporate risk strategy and finance consultancy
  • Appointed as part of the team to rewrite Inland Revenue guidance material in plain English, for internal and public web-based information service.
  • Also one of the writers to prepare content for the original DTI/Small Business Service ‘Businesslink’ and Cabinet Office ‘ Money’ websites.
